Are there other cures/ remedies to sleep apnea besides a breathing machine?

I am also a heart patient and the doc tells me it will keep me alive many more years. besides the now perks. like not being so tired all the time. Not snoring. beathing cleaned air, and last but not least: you can both you and your spouse hide under the cover, pass gas, and only your spouse will suffer since you are still picking up your air from outside! by the way, when i got mine, i said ther was no way i was going to wear that dddmmn thing!
