My husband told me that he read somewhere that if babies sleep with fans all the time or a lot that it will cause them to have sleep apnea. Is this true?

i have never heard of that, if you are concerned please ask your dr there are no ??? they have not heard before. ask and be sure and confident.
I have NEVER heard this and am an avid reader with 2 little ones. I’m not calling him a lier though as there is so much info out there. The easiest thing to do is call your doctor and talk to the advice nurse. That way you will know for sure.
I dont believe that. or Have i ever heard of that. ask your childs doctor if your really concered.
No. Sleep apnea is a neurological disorder. Think about it, back in the 30′s and 40′s A/C didn’t exist. Can you imagine summer months with no air circulation? All they had were electric fans if what you said were true then all these baby boomers would have it
I have never heard of this. I know that babies sleep better with white noise (fans, water running, etc). I would think that as long as the fan is not pointing at the baby it will be fine, but always call your pediatrician and at least talk to a nurse. Things change so quickly, maybe I am just not aware of this new research.
I don’t beleive that fans can cause the baby to have sleep apnea. Just make sure that the breeze from the fan is not blowing directly on the baby. Very young babies may find it hard to breathe in a very strong wind.
Fans don’t cause sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is either caused by a blockage in the throat (obstructive sleep apnea), a neurological disorder (central sleep apnea), or a combination of the two (mixed apnea). If anything, a fan may give an infant too much air, making it difficult or impossible to breathe against. But, that is definitely not sleep apnea.
