was so graceful (relaxed) nothing else mattered
excellent ! ….grace
However they are very expensive and if you drop a weight belt on them or stand on the blades you will break them.
You can break them just by kicking very hard in a awkward manner. Both these fins where softer than the Piccasos and gave more speed and power. I stick with the piccasso fins as they are cheap ($200) and tough. still, if I made this much fin movement I’de never get close enough to spear anything.
Depends a lot on the fins. The fins we wear are actually really crap compared to some of the carbon / glass fins out there.
I used a pair or Omar carbon fins during the Interpacific spearfishing comp that where noticably better than the fins we use . I tried a pair of carbon fins from France and they where even better. The omar fins added 10 feet to my diving depth and the French fins were probably 20 foot deeper.
I don’t freedive, but I’m interested in it. From what I’ve read, aren’t softer fins supposed to give greater power for less effort?
Breathhold OK but fins look too soft to achieve good technique. A stiffer blade will give you power with minimal movement. Tulumben is 30m to the bottom but 15-20 through the main holes. Also try ‘wreck’ not wrack in title:-)
thats true. but with better technique u r more relaxed by same speed and so able to stay and watch longer..
have fun…
Right man! But look at this: not finning and swimming is the destination. The source are to stay, look, and relax. Technique is soon better i hope…
I counted it about 9meters
Your strokes are a little wide, but sweet dives. =]
absolute bad fin technique
how deep was this?
