Blue Water Hunting Acapulco

Blue Water Hunting 10 kms off the coast of Acapulco, MEXICO. We dropped right where the dirty green water merged with beautiful blue water. Watch carefully, you can see the greenish cloud in some scenes. A mahi mahi or dorado appears from the blue and escapes. I manage to land another not so lucky mahi mahi.

    Phillysal,

Unfortunately Acapulco is not the best place to go spearfishing. Not by a long shot. All the times I have been there we have gone out on a friend’s boat, so I am afraid I can’t recommend you who to go out with. However, I can name you 3 places you might want to try and hopefully the water wil be ok, when you go. Usually it is pretty crappy. Anyway, try to go to: 1) El Gallo, 2) El Bajo de la Quebrada, 3) La Cagada. Hope this helps

watertothepeople: Thanks for your comments. For this video I used a Sealife DC500 with a wide angle lens. A pretty simple piece of equipment, perfect for beginnes like myself.
That day we were blessed with very clear water which helped a lot for the filming.
    Hope this answers your question.
    Glad you enjoyed the video.
