tell me how I can get an apap machine? I cannot afford the test 2 Dr.s told me I should have the test since I cannot afford one, does anyone out there know how I can get one? Anything about it?

Only an idea here, can you video tape yourself while you are sleeping.
You can then show it to your doctor.
I have read about someone doing this in a magazine.
You cannot get a prescription for Apap without a formal diagnosis. There are two options for this: You can do a formal in lab sleep study or you can do home monitoring. Home monitoring is much, much cheaper. You should check with local sleep labs to see if they offer this service. Not all of them do. This would be a unit they teach you how to apply and you wear it to bed in your own home. The sleep clinic will read the results and give the diagnosis if you have it.
