my guess would be no-the sanitary protocol for the machine is pretty high (my guy uses one and I keep it clean and working for him ’cause its too much fuss0 besides, consider this it forces the ambient air into your lungs which means anything that gets on it/in it. what I’m saying is my common sense tells me its too risky and bothersome. i wouldn’t take it camping either.

That’s a hard one to answer. Are you going to have the correct operating voltage to operate the unit were you deploying to. Also do they have an none interruptible power source. The ones I have seen will not automatically restart if the voltage cycles off then on again. ( even for a very short time )Then there is the hygiene problems. Once the turbines become pitted or covered in dust they are less effective, can seize or become out of balance making them noisy. To name a few problems. Can you get the unit fixed at short notice if it becomes damaged?
Its not going to be impossible to send a person with such a condition but there a lot of questions that need to considered first.

A few things that are needed for using one… 1. Electricity 2. the ability to clean it weekly, hot water and vinegar and a good clean drying place. 3. Distilled water for the humidifier if using one 4. access to new supplies if something happens to yours, like if the mask breaks, you’d need a new one. So I’d say if you want a reason to get out of getting deployed this might help. I’m sure you can make it work over there but not to the standards you need.
