Sleep Apnea: My husband stops breathing 32 times every single hour?

How bad is that on a scale of those with sleep apnea.
His test results read he stops breathing 32 times every hour that’s about every two minutes…can you get any worse than that?
I just want to make sure he is telling me all that he needs to tell me.
He doesn’t use the machine. He has only been tested….nothing given to him yet.
have him continue to use his CPAP machine & follow up with the pulmonologist.
It can get worse, way worse and can be fatal. My father has it. Call his sleep doctor and ask if you are concerned. Talk to your hubby face to face and get him to show you the results. He needs a CPAP machine. It will make him sleep better than he has in years.
My husband had 6oo per 10 hours of sleep. It was quite horrible not only the noise but also to listen to it. Will he start again or will he stop. Since he has the c – pap we can sleep in one bedroom again and he feels much better. Even though he can only sleep for app. 4 hours in one go.
I’ve known several people with sleep apnea 32 times an hour isn’t that bad but he really needs a machine handy just to be on the safe side by the way it can get ALLOT worse so he should be just fine i think
There are a lot of people with sleep apnea that can’t stand to wear the cpap mask. There’s a lot of health problems that can occur from sleep apnea,
1. heart problems
2. gain weight (you don’t get enough sleep so you eat more cabs and sugars).
3. you could die but that’s very rare.
If he can’t wear the cpap mask ask you dr. for any other options
You do have your First Responders license, right? If not, you need to be getting it, one of these days your going to need to know what to do when one of those apnea attacks last longer than normal.
Sorry to hear that sugar. Not to be mean, but you need to be looking for a fill-in husband, someone to take his place when your in lust. Remember the ole saying, “Save a horse, Ride a cowboy”.
Well that does explain the earlier question. He is exhausted all the time. It is time to buy the apnea machine so the alarm will wake him.
sick answer first, so just laugh. : if his insurance is paid up, it would be better if he breathed once in the hour.
real answer: sounds bad, this might cause brain damage so get him to keep on top of the doctor to get the meds or machine he seems to need.

it may depend on how long during those 2 min. that he goes w/out oxygen.
hope he gets all the help he needs. and that you saw jens answer as the joke it was meant to be.
Wow! That’s every two minutes. Maybe if you were not sitting on his chest it would help.
