Sleep Paralysis Documentary

Sleep Paralysis will be experienced by one in five people. Victims wake to find that they are paralyzed and unable to move or speak. Many experience frightening visions of demons, shadows, or an old woman known as “The Hag.” For others there is simply the unmistakable presence of evil. In extreme cases, these potentially supernatural attacks can occur for decades. Overwhelmed, exhausted, and entirely alone, victims can lead shattered lives dominated by the fear of social stigma. Those who seek medical advice are often misdiagnosed and labeled psychotic or schizophrenic. In “Your Worst Nightmare ~ Supernatural Assault” Soul Smack explores the surprisingly common and greatly misunderstood phenomenon of sleep paralysis. In this ground breaking documentary, Soul Smack interviews actual victims, consults with experts, and offers advice on how to live with what might be your worst nightmare. Soul Smack will launch it’s media rich site on 10/31/08 to coincide with the premier of it’s DVD “Your Worst Nightmare ~ Supernatural Assault.” In the meantime, we are offering a few temporary pages as well as a forum for feedback, insight, and discussion. this documentary is stupid and biased, sleep paralysis is no demon its just a sleeping disorder, the best way to stop it is sleep stomach down, to sleep on time and to keep your mind clean dont think to much before you sleep, your body wants to sleep and your mind is still awake thats why you have this disorder, i know from experience.

im reyn and i have a this since i can remember i see tall dark shadow every time i encounter this and a little girl but sometimes i have sleep paralysis even w/out this visions
    How do i fight?
    -when its happening
    -dont panic
    -close ur eyes
    -focus on your breathing
-try to move atleast ur hands or feet but not the whole body
-then when you wake up sleep again but in different position like if ur head post on the east then put it in the west like that
i hope this thing would help you.

  4. mrhitman000 says:

@mrhitman000 also to add to this when i was mkaing my eyes look up while close i think i was pushing my head against the wall from the bed

  5. mrhitman000 says:

continuing from before…well everyhting would be black everything surrounding the locker is back and the locker was green and when i opened it i would fall through the floor which then i realized it was black and i was falling.the first time that happen i was scared and fell and i woke myself up .then i tried it again to see if i can control it. so i did and it worked so then again it happened i fell and this time i wasn’t scared. i fell for a few sec and woke myself up. what u think about it?

  6. mrhitman000 says:

i dont know if this is the right place to tell my story. but.. when i was little around 7-11 year old. well when i was little i used to be bored as a kid and one day i would lay on my bed and close my eyes and i did something with my eyes that made me dream or somthing i think i was putting tension on my eyes or i was making my eyes look up while it was close. it would take me a couple of seconds do it. but when that happens i would stand in front of a wall of lockers and everything is black >>

We all go through the stage without being aware, but only very rarely will anyone actually fell or sense it. To do that you enter a stat of body asleep mind aware, And it can be frightening and bizarre. That condition is called Sleep Paralysis some people get it without warning while dreaming. We all have the potential to experience it but most never will.

  8. ninaidrissi says:

@java2000 when it happenz i feel am awake and sometimes I start calling for help but nobody hears me maybe becuz am sleeping but not dreaming cuz it’s real and I can see the things in front of as they are .. the thing is when it’s over I oppen my eyes which means they were closed when I thought I was looking at things in front of me. I really can’t explain it.

  9. ninaidrissi says:

@java2000 I agree with u on the 1st part, but when u say ‘we all go into sleep paralysis every night we’ve ever been on earth’ I have to desagree cuz I myself have experienced it, in fact I just took a siesta and it happened to me dat’s why I was watchin dis vid to find a scientific explanation to wat happens .. 1 thin am sure of is dat it happens to me when I overeat in dinner or lunch. horriblr feeling! it’s like someone puts all their weight on u and u can’t move ..

My dream took place on 12.21.12 and I asked is anything actually going to happen today and just as i doubted 2012 then i walked inbetween 3 stones and, I entered sleep paralysis, i was paralyzed and couldn’t speak with a demon floating above me, and just then I awoke, but weeks later, i was thinking about 2012 and doubted it as just another crazy doomsday claim, and u really really wont believe what happened next, i seen the three stones from my dream, no one knew where they came from, creepy :(

    @GMODLAU

This “Sleep paralysis” Doc was clearly meant to impose the viewer with the belief that certain virtuous people (and no others) were being singled out by evil forces, It wasn’t like they were just showing how intense it was, they keep on calling them victims, and then they never let you in on the fact that scientifically we all go into sleep paralysis every night we’ve ever been on earth, but the real fact remains, what will make more money?

  12. java2000 says:

What’s with this documentary preview completely dramatizing evil spirits?? Sleep paralysis is interesting in it’s self, supernatural assault!? Way to scare people into never experiencing lucid dreaming! It’s almost like people who realize what this stage really is and that it can result in lucid dreaming are looked at like wackos, the last time I told somebody about this stage and the dreamworld I made for myself, I was looked at like a total nut, yet just say eh it was satin man. They’ll pay $

i’ve experienced it a lot as a child. it took me awhile to share this with anyone in fear that my statements would just get brushed off, but i tried to induce that same feeling as i got older and it happened. i would lie in bed and let my body relax and let whatever i thought it was holding me down take me but would get to scared and pull myself back to consciousness. freaky but if i can induce it on my own i guess the whole sleep paralysis thing is true. no demons as i thought as a child.

  14. alilie234 says:

I’ve experienced this so much times and i hate it. My auntie just says try to wiggle you feet, shut your eyes and say the prayer of the lord. :P It works for me. Good luck.

  15. SuperxSharpxShooter says:

Ever noticed this only happens when you “jerk off” alot.
    somehow it triggers it.

  16. ko1992ko1992 says:

i’ve had it this morning.. i woke up and i just stayed in bed for more than one hour, going back and out of sleep however one of the times of i woke up i could not move. My eyes were closed. i tried to move but i couldnt. I managed to open my eyes and i noticed i was still in my bed but could not move.what was very weird was that while i was like this i managed to very slightly raise up my right hand, although i could not feel it very well. i also hear a distant female scream just before i woked

  17. fatboyzoid says:

I woke in bed and everything was normal, except my heart beating super fast. It was not like any dream I’ve had before because it was so real. I saw no entities but I felt the dread!

  18. fatboyzoid says:

. Whilst I do agree and understand the science behind sleep paralysis my experience was strange. I woke up (whilst still asleep not realising this at the time) my room and circumstances were identical to my waking world. the lights in my room started blinking on and off, and I felt more scared than I ever have before. I managed to get to my bedroom door and shout my house mate, but all the while something was trying to paralyse me, I kept falling and scrabbling for the door handle. then I woke

    @cameronl09

its not really a miss communication or that your body is still sleeping. Your brain actually paralyzes your body during R.E.M so that you don’t mimic what you do in your dreams while your body laying there. its a defense mechanism.

But its nothing to be scared about, if anyone is having trouble coming out of it change your breathing patter. Your brain will realize your awake and take the affect off.

  20. flathanger says:

ok i have experienced this only once in my life. I was 17 and was actually in hospital at the time. I honestly thought i was about to die. I remember being totally unable to move and trying to scream but nothing would come out. At that point a dark figure was leaning over me from the bottom of the bed and i was petrified. It lasted about 15-20 seconds ish and then suddenly when i thought i was about to die i could move again. I never want to experience it again!

  21. cameronl09 says:

Yeah I just had 1 today lol. ..usually it happens to me when I wake up “fully” and the go back to sleep. I guess you u could call it sleeping in. Or another time is when im super tired and go2 sleep late. When that happens I can’t movie im stuck. What happens is your brain is awake and ur body is still asleep. Its a lack of communication w/ the brain and body which im guessing seen ur brain tell You what to do.Mines last about 7 secs. But when tht happpens just relax.

  22. wafflefacepenis says:

I’ve had sleep paralysis for the last 2 day’s, due to lack of sleep i think… last time i experienced it was when i was about 10 year’s old, im 19 now…the other day when it happened there was a shadow figure of a little girl walking besides my bed, when the figure touched my hand i woke up, it was scary and i can remember myself trying to cry out for help but no sound was coming out of my mouth except a screeching type noise…after i woke i was fine, not scared but like amazed

  23. tearsangelz says:

I thought this was suppose to be a scientific documentary =3=……………..so religious.

  24. KSitz77 says:

yes have had it all my life but fortunately haven’t had an episode for awhile. Themdnghtblue 19 is right so overdramatized and not paranormal. More like your brain has woken up but your body hasn’t yet. Its scary because you don’t know how long it wll take for your body to wake up and you can’t force the process no matter how hard you try. So you lay there freaked out until your body wakes up. I usually spend the entiire time trying to get my body to move. Minutes not hours thank God.
