Hey guys Im from Lebanon and we are on the same cost line as Israel we share the same type of ground and creature that breed in this area yet there are plenty of grouper here in fact 6 grouper is not surprising at all . So how come there is much grouper over here yet they re practically extinct over there
In my country the law says only one grouper in one day !!! If there the law says something else then i’m good!

I have been spearfishing for over 37 years and never took more than 1 or 2 groupers in a year. 6 groupers in a day? Shame on you. What a poor man you are!
Use a polespear, if you are going to spear such an easy catch, at least try to make it difficult on yourself with less of a reach. Was this all on the same day? If it was, what could u possibly need all that meat for, that you would contribute to overfishing of such a great fish.

Im not asking you to stop fishing, but 6 grouper in one time, that big is a bit over kill, you can do the math – in one year or even less you alone may erase an entire old and healthy population of grouper found in your location. So if you want to continue to spearfish many years from now, dont hunt them so much (as tasty as they are ) you can always hunt the open sea fishes as you do so well, they are also extremely tasty especially that barracuda…

Im spear fishing in Israel too and I know for a fact that groupers in Israel are near to be extinct because of over fishing. This place that you found may be one of the last places were groupers live and reproduce away from humans.
