babies with sleep apnea caused by sleeping with fans?

My husband told me that he read somewhere that if babies sleep with fans all the time or a lot that it will cause them to have sleep apnea. Is this true?

My babies are on apnea monitors and their skin is irritated & raw from the electrodes. How do I help heal it?

I have tried repositioning the electrodes to alternate sites. It just increases the amount of irritated skin.
